HOW CAN YOU JOIN THE E-TOLL SYSTEM?

As a new client, if you don’t have any Skyguard service yet, first you have to contact one of our sales colleagues. According to the information given by you, he will recommend personalized supplementary services and the main unit that suits your request. The contract signing takes place after the installation and purchase of the on-board unit. To use the E-toll service – after generating the registration code – you need to register yourself on the HU-GO website and top up your account there. After the control of the OBU unit’s operation, you have already joined the team of the E-toll reporters with the on-board unit. With the Skyguard premium fleet management service, you can have safe your truck as well.

OBU, IN OTHER WORDS ON-BOARD UNIT

We call OBU the unit that is able to report the data necessary for the e-toll payment and fleet tracking (hereinafter “inbuilt unit”) and the unit with cigarette lighter plug (hereinafter plug-in device).

The plug-in device has a onetime purchase price, after the purchase it belongs to the client. It does not need any professional installation process, and during 2 years the usage is free of charge. After 2 years the SIM card data balance of the device needs to be toped up. The plug-in device can be used only for e-toll reporting in Hungary, with the collaboration of Auto Securit Zrt. The plug-in device needs to be matched prior to the usage on the HU-GO website to the specific truck. One plug-in device can be used with different trucks in different times, even though this solution is not so convenient: by every truck change you have to unsubscribe it from the old truck and register it for the new one on the HU-GO site. For this reason, we recommend better to our clients to have individual OBU unit for the trucks that are using the e-toll roads.

We recommend the inbuilt unit to those clients who are willing to use the fleet management service apart from the e-toll payment. In case of an inbuilt unit the client receives access to the internet fleet tracking site, where he can track his vehicles on a street-level map (in the territory of Hungary online), and print after then the route record.
The unit can be extended with additional services above the fleet tracking, like fuel and labor hour measure, driver identification, e-route record, load temperature measure, official/private route separator switch. The inbuilt unit, as per his name, needs a workmanlike installation. This installation can be made by the official service partners of Auto Securit Plc. Our partner network is extensive, you can find contracted services in all areas of the country, that can install the unit even in a place confirmed by the client be this their own service; when needed they can make the necessary repair as well.

E-TOLL MOBILE APPLICATION

Skyguard E-toll switch – free download from Google Play or Appstore – mobile application, that can control anytime easily the parameter that mostly affects the HU-GO e-toll payment: the axle number of the vehicles. Like this, the website and installed fleet application will be connected with our mobile phone, which notifies us immediately if there is any change. The axle number can change without user intervention based on 1-minute requests in the background. The status information section then shows the content of the status change. In the smartphone application at clicking the axle number change icon, the axle number chooser appears. Clicking on the plate number, you will find the plate number list, where you can change the vehicle. The driver gets notified immediately about the currently valid axle setting (refreshing every minute), and if there is any detected error in the system
